Kadal thal dala is a very common snack in Sri Lanka. We can say spiced chickpeas in english. They are often served in paper cones or bags. If you travel in Sri Lanka you can see spicy chickpeas sellers at most of the stations. Chickpeas are a healthy and tasty snack.

Ingredients
500g chickpeas boiled
2 tbsp coconut oil
50g Butter
100g Small dried shrimp
Handful of curry leaves (10-15 leaves)
3 tbsp of chilli flakes
3-5 Green chillies cut in to large pieces
1 large onion, Sliced
Chilli sauce
Curry leaves
Salt to taste
This wonderful dish is a great start to a day as breakfast. A little spice from the dried red chilli pieces gives it just the right flavour and heat. You can make it many different ways. Typically eaten with grated coconut or coconut pieces.
