Vegetable roti or Meat roti is one of delicious snack in Sri Lanka. You can find almost every hotels and restaurant. So today we going to show you how to make this snack at your home. You can make with only vegetable or adding meat.
Let see what are ingredients:
1kg of flour
1kg of potatoes
1kg of chicken (optional)
150g of carrots
150g of cabbage
150g of leeks
1 large onion sliced
2 tsp of black pepper
3 tsp of red chilli flakes
2tsp of roasted curry powder
3-4 garlic cloves
piece of ginger
curry leaves
pandan leaves
Green chilli chopped (optional)
2 tsp of turmeric powder
Oil
Salt to taste

MAKE A DOUGH USING FLOUR, SALT, BAKING POWDER, OIL, AND COLD WATER. MIX THEM ALL AND MAKE A DOUGH AND KEEP FOR 6 HOURS.
Boil potatoes, cut and mashed them
Boiled and fry some chicken
Method
Use a Mortar and Pestle to smash the Cinnamon, Cloves and Cardamon into powder.
Add onion, garlic, curry leaves, pandan leaves, ginger and fry until golden brown.
Its time to add cabbage, carrot, leeks, turmeric powder, pepper, curry powder, chilli flakes and salt.
cook for another 4-5 minutes and add mashed potatoes, chicken and mix them well.
Take of the mixture and keep aside.
Flat the dough ball, add mixture and fold your desired shape to make roti.
Vegetable roti
HEAT A PAN OVER MEDIUM HEAT AND COOK THE ROTIIS ON ALL SIDES, TILL EACH SIDE TURN A GOLEN BROWN.
